Haircut time
Posted by daveg under Uncategorized
I’ve needed a haircut for a few weeks and I finally have the time to get it. Not only that, but I intentionally did not bring a razor, nor do I plan to have a beard.
As you can see, I’m at a critical level of fluff. I got a shave and a haircut for $7.
I am glad that I got my hepatitis shot. My shave was bloody. I *think* he used a new blade on me and I sure hope that he doesn’t use that blade on someone else. It was one of the most painful experiences. I miss Mach 3 or Mach 4. Maybe it was the cold shaving creme and fan blowing on my face contacting my hair folicles. All I know is that it was pain.
-break-
I’m taking today off of the bike. I’ve been on the bike 8ish hours a day since last Saturday. I would have liked to make it to the Yucatan but am ok here in Campeche.
Oh, at my hotel, I find my motorcycle’s clone. I can’t seem to find the owner and it hasn’t moved for almost 24 hours.
^^ This drink was terrible. Luckily it was only 50 pesos. It tasted like a thawed freezer pop. WAY too sugary. I couldn’t even finish it.
^^ Half of everyone’s favorite famous motorcycle duo. Heh.

You are the bravest picture soliciter that I know! Next to my mom. Great shots! The bloody chin is awful…I can SO feel your pain…but it is nothing compared to the tan lines, yow. The guy on TV looks like Tom Hanks with a renaissance wig. And HOW could a drink named after me taste bad? You know that’s why you chose it.

Man- I thought it was so cool reading about your haircut and shave…..until I got to the part about how bloody it was!

I am impressed with your story telling skills, D. Maybe it’s because you have little else to think about, but the pics and fairly lucid writing
convey your [mis]adventures quite well! Amy and I were wondering, did you plan on flying back up to the states or were you driving northward as well?So you’ve answered any questions I had about your appearance on this trip, but now how about that savory smell? Have the natives started to keep their distance yet? Oh and congrats on the 1 week mark!

I will second that - congrats on the 1 week.
Only 23 weeks to go =]

Hey Dave,
Great read! I’m stumped why you wouldn’t have brought razors with you, and how about those cops on the take just like we thought they’d be? Bet you’ll have the beard after all.

I hope you’re not in the Yucatan yet, last time I checked hurricanes and bikes didn’t go together.

Nice blog! Dude grow the beard! I had a ZZtop beard once i was done with the trip and I loved it! It has so many advantages…
Keeps bugs off, keeps you warmer in high altitudes, and it looks studly!

The second steak night since you left will be here tomorrow, and I’m missing you, Friend. Love the blog. I’ll keep the tradition alive until your glorious return…
